Forget About Kevin Spacey’s Crimes, Let’s Talk About His Hair Hairline!

I’ll admit it.

I am a fan of Kevin Spacey, the actor. American Beauty is a top-tier film in my opinion, and I, like many, have thoroughly enjoyed watching his performance as President Frank Underwood in House of Cards.

But like Harvey Weinstein, Spacey appears to be a pervert and scumbag.

Does that mean I won’t still watch his movies? No, I don’t think so.

Someone can create great work that demands our collective attention and be an asshole or pervert at the same time.

Bill Cosby may be an exception to that rule, though. Spacey, maybe not so much….

Spacey’s Hair Loss

Spacey’s one of those guys who’s been balding since…forever, basically. He was rocking a classic “island” Norwood 3 hairline in all of his early movies such as Glengary Glen Ross.

Here’s a young Spacey (early 30s) in the aforementioned 1992 movie, Glengary Glen Ross. Norwood 3 with some thinning up front.

His balding never progressed much beyond that point, on film anyway…

Here’s a shot of a shaved-down Spacey in the borderline-classic ’95 movie, Seven. The island is starting to become more pronounced here, inching closer to Norwood 4 territory.

Hair Transplant or Hair System?

As always, that is the question!

Kevin Spacey’s hairline is a little like the tide, in that it has a tendency to ebb and flow, so to speak, which of course suggests that Spacey wears a hair system.

Spacey in House of Cards. His manufactured hairline mimics the shape of a mature hairline, but it’s too high to actually be one. Bob Odenkirk wears a similar, high, v-shaped system for his show, Better Call Saul.

More often than not, his hairline (and hair in general) just look a bit peculiar, given his age and known history of hair loss.

Most men with hairlines as high as the hairline he typically sports in House of Cards, for example, have significant amounts of thinning. Spacey appears to have no thinning, at least when he appears in photo ops and in movies.

His temple peaks are also completely gone.

And from what I’ve gathered, natural-looking temple peaks are hard to create for hair system manufacturers.

The Money Shot

That’s probably a bad expression to employ given Spacey’s salacious past…

So yeah…Safe to say he wears a piece. And that he may well be a piece of you know what, right? Your call, as always.

Quite particular situation for his hair, in this recent footage, I dunno if there is some concealer, but his hairline is not as neat as when he wears hairpieces and he wore quite realistic ones, which only reveal the net very up close, https://www.cinematographe.it/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Kevin-Spacey.jpg have believable density and salt and pepper patterns.
Neither his hair is as thick there, especially on the thumbnail pic which is in full light.
Also here, more density or just a decent combover https://insajderi.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/kevin-spacey-sexual-harassment-accusations.jpg

Maybe some trasplants at this point or some quite good cures (:

    • It’s hard to tell exactly what’s going on “under the hood” here, so to speak. He has bigger issues to contend with than his thinning hair/how realistic his hair pieces are these days, granted, but yeah, it’s possible he’d had some transplants, wears concealers, etc. If that’s the case, I imagine he’d be a Norwood 5+ if he hadn’t had any interventions. Thanks for the comment!

  2. He’s got both. The pre trial pics show a transplant, but for his on screen work he wears wigs. Since he hasn’t been working he hasn’t had to shave the frontal transplant down to accommodate a wig, and so he just goes with his transplant.
